In 2006, the department performed more than 160,000 diagnostic and interventional examinations.
The department’s information system is RIS/RadNet from CERNER. And in 2004, as part of the department’s goal to become film-free, the Picture Archive Communication System (PACS) was implemented to transfers radiology images from the various diagnostic imaging equipment to workstations and web browsers.
There are eight ultrasound suites, and the equipment includes an ATL 1500 (for invasive examinations), and 3D imaging equipment (e.g., Phillips HDI 5000, GE Logiq 9, and a Phillips Envisor).
